Your Money Matter

 

As tax season comes to a close, I think it would be beneficial to readers to evolve my contribution to this newsletter. I will be focusing future columns on more biblical principles of money management. I am not sure if the newsletter audience is aware, but, I recently completed my first book. The book is called, “The Truth Shall Set You Free”: Biblical Truths that Reveal God’s Plan for Financial Freedom. In this book, I lift up biblical principles that instruct us on how we, as believers, MUST manage the resources that the Source has giving to us. I would like to share a brief excerpt from my book that helps us to begin to have that “renewing of our mind” as it relates to managing God’s resources.

 

“I feel strongly that a lot of believers suffer needlessly when it comes to the issue of money. In Hosea 4:6, we are told that “….My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge.” My question becomes, what knowledge do we lack? Do we know what God says about credit? Do we know what God says about debt? Do we know what God says about saving and investing? Do we know what God says about getting advice? Until we both desire and act on that desire to learn the knowledge that God has for us in His word concerning money, our finances are in danger of being destroyed for that lack of knowledge.”

 

I continue to look forward to sharing Holy-Spirit inspired biblical truths that will help break the yoke of financial bondage that afflicts too many believers. Remember, the bible says in John 8:32 that “you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free” Once we know the truth, it will set us free-financially free!
