Your Money Matter

If I get one more credit card offer in the mail, I am going to scream! Spoke to soon, just checked my mail ……… AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! The same day I receive credit card offers, I also get telephone calls from telemarketers trying to sell me anything from timeshares to satellite TV. I turn on the TV and see a constant barrage of ads whose only purpose is to motivate me to spend money. The world that we live in has developed and implemented a systematic approach aimed at conforming our mind to spending, spending, and more spending. The world wants us to buy, buy, buy and not worry about saving. The world wants us also to spend for today and not worry about tomorrow. This mindset is clearly opposite the way God would have us approach money.
Well, the bible says in Romans 12:2(NIV) “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” You see, the only way not to conform to this world’s mindset on money is to agree to let God perform a mind transplant. God desires to take out the worlds thoughts on money and implant His thoughts on money. But remember, our God is not an intrusive God. We are taught in Matthew 7:7(NIV) to “Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” Notice that the giving, finding, and opening are all blessings that flow from an action on our part. Decide today to ask for God to perform a mind transplant as it relates to money. Seek His Word for biblical principles concerning money. Knock on the door that opens to biblical understanding concerning money and it shall be open to you.
A great way to begin this mind transplant is by purchasing my book, “The Truth Shall Set You Free.” It is a “how come” money management book that seeks to reveal God’s will for the resources that He has blessed us with. You can purchase an autographed copy by contacting me via email at advice@gladimethim.com or by calling 717-394-6097.
Thanks, and as always remember that the bible lets us know that “The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, but a wise man is he who listens to counsel” (Proverbs 12:15)
